won't the header flange be before the cat, and the exmag be post-cat anyway?

yeah. it would.

haha unless i was secretly talking about some new turboback RS-R that doesn't exist :P

basically the 4th gen (h23) guys say that the RS-R fits with some modifications to the exhaust flange. at least that's what i thought i read before i went on my latest crack binge

you don't happen to know that this "minor modification" entails, do you?

lemme look for you.

edit: the bolt sizes on the OEM cat flange aren't the right size. getting the 4th Gen RS-R to fit apparently requires that you enlarge the holes. that's all i've found regarding the incompatibilities. there might be more but there are people running VTEC exmags on H23's with no problem.

Wow, I dug this one up huh? 7 months after posting this thread, I settled for the RS*R Exmag ... how do I like it? Well, it's not on yet lol. I'm dedicated to recording some audio and taking plenty of pics, but I got a great deal, and I think overall this meets my criteria. I'll get back to this thread when I get it installed, thanks for all the help though, this is your exhaust lol.

PS. I got the Exmag for $465 shipped from Drift Speed in CA. They ship for free if you're in the 48 cont. states, and the only exception to that price if you are is if you live in CA, which then of course subjects you to tax. Anyway, excellent price, fast shipping and here's the number:
714-379-5233 - I talked to a guy named Brian. Drift Speed occasionally lists an Exmag on eBay for $475 shipped, if you want to save 10 whopping bucks, call them and tell them you don't have a computer, or no time to bid, whatever. My name is Adam, although I doubt that'll make much of a difference when and if you call.

i would go with the RSR-Exmag. i personally like the sleeper idea.
its actually ceramic coated and really looks low key, plus its the quietest exhaust note on the market.

yea the dual tip is key, i like the dual tip because the stock prelude exhaust is a badass looking exhaust, and the h22a1 is a badass engine.
