Default My convertable lude

Hehe... this was my 4ws parts car, so I thought I would get a little creative with it.
This was only the first stage, I didn't take pics of the others.
Never was finished though, ended up dropping it multiple times from 14 feet with a forklift.
It ran out of useful parts for me.

lol...you should really do something with that. it's pretty tight.

it would look SOO much sexier with a 5th gen though.

How is it without the support of the roof?

I welded in some braces behind the rear seats, but it is definitely for "show purposes only" hehe.

I could see a custom roll bar right behind the front seats (where the B pillar used to be)... that'd be a fun project

cant blame a guy for trying to be different.

that doesnt make much sence to just go "hey, dont do that. you might ruin your lude". He could make something big outta that. if not, it's still an awesome idea and i give him props for geting the idea off paper and in to reality

At one point this was a semi-serious project, until the garage I was working at closed, so it became a parts car again. I could do it over, and do it right, now that I know where everything is (under the sheetmetal), and it would turn out halfway decent. The real pain is the windshiels, it's too flimsy alone, probably 70+mph would bend it, so I was in the process of welding the front part of the door frame, which holds the window in place, to the windshield's a-pillar. That worked, but looked stupid, so I just welded it to the door, and then welded the door shut. Hehe.
