Is $2,000 a good price for a 1990 Prelude SI in good condition? I haven't found out the mileage yet. I have to call the guy and ask him more about the car. The ad reads as follows:
1990 HONDA PRELUDE SI five speed, black, AC, CD, moonroof, new tires, mint. $2,000
Let me know what you think.

Personally I'd say no matter what the miles that price sounds pretty good. The 3rd gens are still hot cars and if you had to replace the motor it sounds like you would still have a nice car for not too much money. I'd just check to make sure there's nothing odd with the car, like a bad accident in the past, or a salvage title?

when looking.. look down at all the pulleys.. i know some people who had front end collisions and can't change any of the belts b/c they're blocked by the rest of the car b/c of a front end collision!
also look at the wheel wells and the front of the car for highway stone/crap damage.. and look at the coolant bypass hoses by the cap/rotor leading from the plugs.. that's a place that easily leaks...
but 2k for something he says is mint? damn! i'm jealous.. i paid about 5k for my car 2 and a half years ago.. she WAS mint.. 84,000 miles... still had a warranty with it.. and a lot of extras!! btw.. she has 142,000 miles on it now.. still runs great.. almost... needs some work...
oooooo and make sure of the timing belt changes!!!! that can be expensive if you don't do it yourself.. about 500 at the honda dealer...
