National Prelude Meet: June 6-8
There will be a National Prelude Meet this coming June. We will be renting a track to race on, which will include a full day of track usage at Talladega Raceway near Atlanta.
The dates are as follows:
June 6
We will all be arriving this day most likely, and will have a meet at a place yet to be determined.
June 7
Meet at Talladega Grand Prix for a small get together, and meeting. Shirts for the event will be passed out to everyone who has registered for the days event. Please be SURE that you bring, or borrow a helmet from someone before you leave, they require SNELL 95 or better approved helmets, motorcycle helmets are not permitted. There will not be any rentals of helmets for this day. Also be sure your car is excellent condition for this event, there will be an inspection before you are allowed to race. Loose components in the car or engine bay will disqualify you before you can even race. www.tgprace.com/
We will conclude the racing Saturday, and head to a yet to be determined place for dinner and an afterwards gathering. This event will not be paid for, so make sure to bring some cash with you if you would like to eat.
June 8,
Meet at a place yet to be determined and caravan to Steele Dragway in AL (about 1 hour from the hotel) This dragway was chosen for price and availability, we are not renting this track, and the fee at the gate is $10 to race or spectate. This is a test and tune, and likely starts in the afternoon, this gives us all a chance to sleep in and get some breakfast if you are an early riser.
We will conclude our track day, and caravan back to the hotel after the dragway has closed. If you wish to drive home at this point, that is up to you, the majority will probably be driving home June 9.

As of today, there are only 16 spots left for the track day...deadline to sign up for this portion is February 28th.

this should be a great event its to bad i live in nj, if you guys ever wanna do some street racing come on by. anyway can someone help me i cant put up my pic that i have how do i do it? i have a nice cartoon prelude that i would like to put up after every reply i post how would i do that? im not a computer guy

HotLude93, a number of people from the East Coast are making the treck down to Alabama. I don't know about NJ, but members from CT, PA, etc. are making the 14 or so hour trip down.

Just to also add that the track day spots (June 7th) is now closed. Of course, you can still come down and meet everybody, and the Drag Day at Steele is still open.

If it's later in the day though, the STL group (with Mr. and Mrs "Ludecrs") will head out during the morning. I'd like the get in Alabama by dusk at the latest.
