Default *please don't move, Prelude specific GB* for 5th gen owners only

ok folks, you can verify my identity and integrity with your administrator, drumsy.

I'm hosting a group buy for carbon fibre trunk lids for the 5th gen Prelude. these are normally 3k strand weave, but i have been notified by my manufacturer that they're now using 6k strand fibre normally used in aerospace applications. **these are the ONLY carbon fibre trunks for the 5th gen on the market.**

they are vacuum injected resin gel coat with UV blockers. most importantly, they're NOT just 3 layers with a chopped fibre backing. they are solid weave carbon fibre, with an underside skeleton of carbon fibre... 100% caron fibre construction. bolt holes for the hinges are molded in, along with provisions for the trunk latch. THERE IS NO KEY HOLE!! we will not drill a keyhole in, as they are for racing purposes. you may *cough*ruin*cough* youself.

i am not a business... i just have a hookup in the industry that is willing to build them for me.

pricing will be $550 per trunk lid if we can get at least 5 buyers. i can drop the price to $525 each if we can get 10 or more buyers. we already have 2 buyers so far.

shipping will be calculated per each customer once the trunks arrive. please post if you would like to get in on this buy, and post your e-mail address. once we get 5 buyers, i will e-mail each person with payment details.

group buy ends on the 4th of Feb, and items will be mailed out within 4-6 weeks after payment is received... each trunk is hand made upon order, hence the wait. if we dont get all the buyers in on this, whoever is interested will be given the option to purchase each one at $600 each.

er, it's normally $650 per trunk lid... therefore it's $125 off, $150 if we get 10 people.

i'm trying to test the market and see if there's any appeal for *QUALITY* built CF body panels. i'm sick of the "3 layers of CF on fibreglass" ricer parts out there that have been consistently falling apart.

if you want to buy after the GB, it's $650 plus freight to anywhere. i charge actual freight charges, not an overpriced amount like most do. if i can get enough response, i'll hold another GB... but so far it aint lookin too good.

Damn, if it was cheaper and for 4th gens... I'd be all over it. It's too much $$$ for my wallet. Maybe in a year or two when prices come down, hopefully, I'll get something. That's my biggest stop from getting any body panels that are CF... cheap or quality... either way it's just way too expensive.
