Default 17's or 18's

Alright this is probably a tired question, but I haven't been on this board in a while and I can't find much discussion on this when I search.

I have setteled on getting SSR GT1's but I don't know if I should get 17's or 18's. What do you think? Will the acceleration be noticably slower with the 18's?

Thanks

it wont be noticeably slower if you already had 17's but if you jump from 16's to 18's then it will be a lot more noticeable than if you just go with 17's, what year is your car?

so then your car had the original 16's, if you move up two sizes you might notice the slowdown or might not but if you go with the 17's you shouldnt notice it, because remember when you go up a size or two its not just on one tire its on all of them so two sizes on each tire might make it lag.....

18's are hot but tires are more costly and you need to run a lower profile tire leading to more chance of F-ing your rims up. I run 17's now and most likely will go back to the stock SH wheels or a different set of 16's. When I switch in the winter back to the 16's the car feels much quicker. Besides the total weight of the wheel, the tire is much more weight on a 18 making the car slower.

For looks 18's, for speed 16's and 17's for the inbetween.

my friend jeff has 18s and still beats RSX-S with them... you have to "roll" the wheel wells with a baseball bat to fit.. and we'll tell you about new suspension later when he gets it all done.. in order for it not to look like it's jacked up.. he keeps his stock wheel in the trunk and when there are 3 people in the car... it rubs...
