Default Details on swapping a H22 into a Prelude SI model?

Apparently my brother (Rezza)'s friend wrecked his lude... and it has a H22a6? Euro I guess. Told me I could the motor for a good deal. I'm a senior in highschool and we have to "Senior Projects" and I could do mine as a motor swap.. kill two birds with one stone I suppose, but my question is, whats needed to put a h22 in a 4th gen.. I'll need

- The motor itself
- ECU
- wiring harness? or does this plug up ?
- axles?
what else would I need, how hard of a project am I looking at? I'd also have about 5-10 Honda guys help me out. Is the h23 tranny bolt up fine (lengthwise) to the H22? What else do I need to know?
Thanks!

you will need:
h22a/1 engine
ecu

those are the basics

u can use your current tranny
u can use your current axles
u can use all your current mounts

usually the engine+tranny+ecu swap is the best thing to buy

u will also need to run 2 wires from the distributor area to the ecu area for VTEC, you can ground the 3rd VTEC wire to the valve cover or thermo housing if you wish, u will also have to modify the ecu harness to accept these 2 wires, or run the wires into the ecu somehow and solder them to the board.

might i recommend changing your clutch and timing/balancer belts before the engine goes in the car.

it is 100 times easier to do these things when the engine is off the car

good luck

how is this done? and why do you run it to the ECU? Isn't the ECU already plug and play for VTEC? or do you have to RE PLUG them back in? I'm not sure if i understand.

The Si harness isn't wired for vtec. When you plug the p13 ecu in, you will have to add these wires to the harness for vtec to work.
-vtec soleniod: Pin A4 on the ecu
-vtec pressure switch: Pin D6 on the ecu

Hope this helps. My advice is search, search, search. All the info is out there, it just takes time to find.

Put a JRSC...I've seen them on 4th Gen. People with 5th Gen put the H23 tranny with the JRSC. I've seen pictures of the 5th Gen blower installed on 4th Gen. You'll love it.

That has nothing to do with swapping engines.
