Default HELP! Key stuck in the ignition

Help, my keys is stuck in my 1999 prelude, is there a way to take it out???

is this an automatic car? is the key all the way turned to the off position?

It's an automatic. The keys turns to off position but does not go the extra notch where you can take it out.

Ok let's think about this. Normally it wont come out if you _____________.

And you said it wont go the extra notch...

Maybe you go could ahead and lock the wheel, then unlock it and see what happens after that.

try disconnecting the battery (make shure you have radio code handy if stock radio) with the battery disconnected the key may come out if the solenoid is engaged. also does the P on your dash come on when is park ? if not then theres somthing wrong with the shift position switch and your car doesn't know it's in park and not letting you take the key out.

This might sound stupid but it happens, make sure it is in park, also if it is put it in reverse then park again, sometimes it jams

Take it apart and throw it on the cement a couple of times
