Default Spare tire donut messing with the ATTS?

I've been riding around with the donut on the front for a few weeks waiting to get new wheels in a week or so 'cause I cracked one of the stockies. Today my ATTS / Check engine light came on. I know they always come on together, but I just changed my cat and seconary O2 sensor. Could the spare up front cause the ATTS to malfunction?

Hey. I cant really help you with what youre talkin about, but maybe you can help me. Im lookin for a stock cat for my prelude (98). You said you just changed yours.. unless you meant something else.. but if you did change it, you looking to sell the old one? Let me know as soon as possible. My email is Mecca20o0@aol.com. Thanks.

cehck the code and see if it's an engine issue or an ATTS issue.

FWIW, different diameter wheels can mess with ATTS, so if your spare is bigger or smaller diameter wise than your regular tire, it could be an issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I just read my owner's manual and it said that anytime you change the diameter any one of the wheels, the light will come on due to on wheel sping faster than the other three. It also say it should go off when all diameters are the sam thus putting the correct size back on the car.

As for my cat, I changed it becuase it was bad, sorry.

Switch tires so your donut is on the rear. Generally speaking, it's never a good idea to have a donut on any of the drive wheels to begin with - with or without traction control, ATTS, etc. Always put a donut on the free spinning wheels.

Thanks for the advice. I knew it was unsafe cuse she handle like ass even at the recommended 50mph for the krispy kreme. I'm not even driving it anymore until I get some new wheels. My lude is kinda like my weekend car.

You should NEVER EVER EVER put a donut on the front of a FWD car. ALWAYS move the rear tire forward and put the donut in the back. Hopefully you didn't burn anything up like the clutches.
