$800 extra bones for golden eagle to build the block saved me a lot of time. Plus I don't have to worry about any errors with them doing it, not that I couldn't. I rebuild engines every week bro at automotive tech class so it's not that I was afraid to but the car had already been down 8 months because of the cost to go all motor. Most can't even do a valve job let alone put a motor back together. I pulled it in my garage, disassembled it, had it bullet proofed, and put it back together and dropped it back in. So you're telling me that on my forged 11.5 to 1 Je pistons I could run 25 to 30 psi since it's been ductile sleeved? I'm not quite seeing it but then again you may have AEM EMS which possibly could allow ignition and fuel maps that wouldn't create any level of detonation. You got dual stage vtec on your MR2? Got any fuel or dyno maps of that MR2? That kind of psi should put you into the 10's with that car!

I don't have dual stage VTEC engagement on my MR2.. My MR2 is the car that I've had for awhile. I'm not into 10 yet, but it's due to traction issues. I've got 9" wide tires on the back and I'm still not getting much of my power to the ground... I've talked to a few people and they said go with 13" wide tires.. So I guess I'm going to try that next. I've started working on my Prelude (which I bought as a daily driver) and I'm starting to like it even more because of the awesome potential of the H22a. I've seen good engines, but this one is great, even stock.

Just so you guys know, I'm calling dibs on having the scariest sounding car once it's done. That thing will scream since I won't be shifting until around 8500-9000 RPMs. I love it.

Might have a big scary challange for yeah on that scariest sounding lude. I just ordered a smsp header the DC is holding the potential of my build back greatly. The car is sick fast all motor right now for being a 5th gen sh. Atts coupled with this high compression full head build is awesome. I want EMS bad but can't afford it right now, I'd be able to rev wherever and the head on the car is brand new with full crower valvetrain. I couldn't see the block even being able to be hurt. The car is way better than stock and it should be for 7 grand!
