Default Steering Noise!?!?!

I was pulling into the garage and i noticed when i turned the steerin wheel...it made a squeaking sound(from outside the car)....veryy embarassing when ur parallel parking somewhere.....same noise when the car is moving....i checked my power steerin fluid....its on the "min mark".....should i change it....i was thinkin bout lifting the car and have somebody turn the wheel and id be under the car lookin for the noise...however its still kinda nipply out so if somebody knows exactly what this is id appreciate it.....i recently put on 18s with 215/35/18 tires if that means anythin

castro: what is a type four?

anyway, probably not it because you're sure it's coming from behind the wheels but check for a loose power steering belt. Those cause squeals all the time. Possible other sources may be tie rod ends, ball joints, bushings,.. anything rubber.

I have the exact same thing! I'm have no idea what it is. It's very embarassing when parking. I checked my fluid and it's perfect too. I was told that it could be the power steering pump is going bad and isn't pumping fluid like it should. ???? I have no idea man. If i find out i will be sure to let you know.
