Exhaust Manifolds
My manifold in my 88 Lude is pretty beat up at the bottom. To the point where it restricts a bit of air flow. I'm thinking that a new manifold would really help out all around. What are some good brands for this kind of part? Are 4-2-1s better than 4-1s? How easy is it to install one of these? Does it require engine hoisting and/or welding?

If DC Sports has one then it is a bolt-on. There are other brands for a 4-2-1 that will work in your 88. The big issue may be the bolts themselves. Use a lot of PB Blaster and 1/2" drive sockets to get things apart. You will not need anything more than a pair of jackstands to get under the car in front.

So I went to their website, searched for stuff for my 'Lude, and it gave me this:
Honda Prelude 1997-01 (Excluding SH)
Honda Prelude 1997-01 Prelude Type-SH Only
Honda Prelude 1992-96 Si
Honda Prelude 1992-96 VTEC
Honda Prelude 1997-01 (Excluding SH)
I'm guessing that the 1992 Si is the one that fits?

92 and 88 aren't the same number :P not even the same generation of prelude. DC Sports USED TO make headers for us 3rd genners, but they have been long discontinued. You may be able to find one in some warehouse for some random performance shop, but if you want to find a quality header that is still readily available, look for a Chikara Tork-step (torque-step) header...or a neuspeed/airmass header if you can find one (also discontinued) don't waste your time with a pacesetter, ever. use google.com to search! www.summitracing.com used to carry chikara for us, but I haven't looked lately to see if they still do. if time is no concern, keep an eye on ebay for a dc header, sometimes one will pop up.
