i have one. it's ok, no problems with it.

however, you do need to trim the center console around the shifter, because the adapter will hit the plastic when you shift into 3rd and 5th. not hard, but if you don't want to cut then you'll have to look elsewhere.

well, you need to pull off the center arm rest, take a boxcutter and cut away the plastic that would be around the shifter. it's hard to say how much you have to cut, but it's not all that complicated. it's not visible when you reinstall the arm rest since the shift boot covers it up.

So what would you rank it out of 10, 1 being the worst, 10 being the best.

i really wouldn't go for an adapter cuz I heard they really suck ass. I'm planning on getting either a Lean short shifter or a pspec short shifter, psec is having a 10% off groupbuy deal if you're interested, though it'll prolly still cost you around $140. They're a bit expensive but are the whole shift lever and much more reliable. Remember, you get what you pay for.

iono i guess i'd give it a 7 or 8 since it's never messed up on me.

i'd rather have a pspec or lean unit too, but i'm not going to spend that much money on a short throw right now esp when the adapter has worked ok.

I paid $118 shipped (bought the gray one and painted black myself) in 3 days from Forbidden (4th gen lude) it does work really really well, is very solid and easy to install, about the adapter ,,, IMO seems that may work but shifting with such delicate unit will end with the adaptor in a very short time ..
