worst case: timing belt issue
best case: loose valve lash on at least one valve rocker

maybe a video or audio of the noise would help

i get the whine too brother after honda di my timing belt, i think the auto tensioner sucks to be honest.

can someone tell me how to attach a video on the post... i'm trying to post a audio/video of the noise in my car to see if someone can diagnose my problem. thanks

I had that problem once. It was a rock stuck in the guard for my cat ... lol. Banged it with the jack wrench and it was just peachy afterwards.

when you misshift and get high enough over redline, you generally F your valves. and i'm willing to bet that you've got at least 1 bent valve. check your compression. hopefully nothing's wrong with anything else, because replacing the valvetrain will be expensive enough by itself.

i get like a whistling noise from 1k rpm to 3k rpm....it might go higher but i cant hear it cuz the intake really roars after 3k.....when i put my a/c on im pretty sure it gets worse....im thinkin its a vacuum line...any ideas...this isnt the whine from the timing belt i was talkin bout b4...that noise is gone.....this is more of a whistle....really aggrevating....any suggestions???

i found out wat it was.......my ground for my amps was no good.....radio off--> no whistle....radio on-->whistle bingo!!!
