Default ES Trailing arm bushing replacment....

I was just wondering who of you have done this mod, and how you like it. I have a lude & a teg, and the bushings on the teg are shot. I've heard that the poly replacments aren't really ideal for this particular bushing on the teg due to some required lateral movement that the bushing doesn't allow, and was just wondering if it was the same case on the lude. Do you have to remove the entire trailing arm to replace the bushing? Are there any great benefits to swapping them for poly on a lude if your factory ones are still in good shape??

i found that energy bushings work GREAT on the road coruse, like beaver run. However on the street and highway the stiffness really starts to get annoying, i replaced EVERY bushing on my car with ENERGY for the summer and the race track, what i found was that every little groove of bump in the road gets multiplied by about 100X.
I would not recommend any Energy bushings for daily use or replacement of rubber bushings unless u are building a race car. This doesnt apply to mount inserts or sway bar bushings, which are the only 2 sets that i still have installed on my car.

Our CRX has the bushings in back along with a few other places. It is a race car and the stiffness driving it home from the fabricator when it was done was more than anyone would welcome on the street. Why was it driven home-because the trailer had not been delivered at that point. I agree that sway bar and end link bushings should be upgraded even on a street car that sees little track time. Otherwise the stock bushings or slightly stiffer Mugen type are fine even for track use. Our Prelude is multi-link so I really do not plan to upgrade them.

I have ES replaced on the entire car. That car suspension on the lude is a dream on the smooth highway, but when you get into bumpy roads and just even regular roads you will feel everything, especially if you have low profile tires. now i have 205-50-15 tires and the suspension is stiff but tolerable for me, but when i had 225-50-15 tires, it was a little better.

with all the suspension upgraded on a prelude, definitely it is one of the best handling cars on the road
