Default Found my new P&S

well sort of. it's still between Canon S90 and this

http://www.dpreview.com/news/1007/10...onicdmclx5.asp

Pana. LX5
I like the options and features on the LX5 but then I like the size of the S90 better.

Yet another product I have to wait a month to get my hands on to try out

LX5 might be a bit better of an actual camera but in my experience it's all about the camera you're more likely to have with you more often. So for point n shoots I give up features for size every time, as long as the smaller one still produces an acceptable-enough result.

Yeah yeah i know it's cliche. For me even the S90 is a bit big so I'd be drawn to backlit sensor pocket cams like the new Canon SD4000 or Sony WX1 (or its replacement WX5).

That said, I cheaped out and snagged a Panasonic ZR1 which doesnt have any low light gimmicks beyond decent-for-"normal"-sensor noise performance, but DOES have a 25-200mm equiv zoom range and fits in a pocket.

is that what you use as your P&S?

if i go with a g11 I don't see the point. might as well carry my d70 with the kit lens which is far superior.
