So any tips other than have good lighting and drive down to cali?

know your equipment, make sure you see the image in your head before shooting. dont stop till you get it

If you don't have lighting, use natural lighting. Find the perfect backdrop, and know when the sun is in their face. Be mindful of your OWN shadow and the shadows on them. Then, google tips on pinup post-processing
