I've been playing around with my new camera and went out with a friend today and tried out some of his lenses.

It kinda showed me the shortcomings of a kit lens (18-55mm)... (i'm not knocking on the kit lens, its great)

Now im considering getting a second lens... but i'm not sure what type to get... im really leaning towards the 50mm f1.8...

What did people on here get first?

Macro? 50mm? zoom lens?

 

I think i got my 50 first

then my sigma

then my new body

then my battery grip

then my flash

then my remote triggers

then my tokina

soon I'll have a long fast prime

 

50mm f/1.8

 

some wide angle

 

17-85 was my first lens

 

17-35 first then went with the 50

 

Whats the 17-35? is that the wide angle?
