Default Camera Lens Question

So I picked this lens up from Best Buy yesterday
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Canon+-+...ens&cp=1&lp=16

I then bought the 430EX II flash. I noticed if I take rapid shots after the 2nd shot when snapping the third the camera locks up a little like it's processing, and then is fine, but when I look at the picture, it's a blur of a color.

Is that normal. I can give examples if needed. Was just taking pics of the cat with new lens and flash.

Does it do it with other lenses? Does it do it without the flash attached?

I havent tried the other lenses. I took the flash off and it went multiple times with no problems. When it stops after the 2nd shot it starts making a noise like its processing data. Then the lens opens up and i can continue taking shots.

Reading online, could it be the cheap batteries I have in there. I just through some cheap ones in there to try it out.

what setting are you shooting on? the only problem that you would have with cheap battery's on the flash is that after 3-4 constant shots you would need to wait for it to recycle the power before shooting another shot. now if your waiting for the camera to process a picture before shooting next shot, it could be your sd card being to slow depending on what resolution you are shooting on. ex: m, l, l+raw, raw

It doesn't do this with just the lens and stock flash. I can take repeated shots with no problem. I tried with all the "Automatic" type settings such as portrait, landscape and so forth. But as soon as i attach the flash and try to shoot constantly this happens.
