Quick K-x high ISO attempt
#12
I've found it necessary when taking pics of a young toddler, specially one that is very mobile. I can't really lower the shutter speed since he is moving around so my only choice is add more light (I don't have) or bump the ISO and open up the lens more...
With the d700 I can simply go 3200-6400 ISO and still end up with very good pics. I wouldn't dare go above 800 ISO with the d70. it's not too pretty :hs: I used to use a flash but he gets scared and just freezes. not the kind of pics I want to take. But it's an easily solved problem IMO. I'll just throw money in the form of a full frame body at it :chuckles:

The D700 is obviously a bit nicer. h:

Or if you want to stick w/ DX format (do you have DX lenses?) the D5000, D90 and D300s are all pretty decent at high ISO. Similar sensor to the K-x, similar performance up to ISO 1600 but can't quite hang above that. Their 3200 is like 6400 on the K-x, and the K-x can go up to 12800.
The D700 is obviously a bit nicer. h:
