the 16-35 cost twice as much as the 17-40

Sigma 10-20 for my WA and Tamron 17-50mm for walk around. Then again, they aren't Full frame lenses.

You really need to get wider than 24mm on the 5D? I'd just get a 24-70 as a walkaround lens and call it a day......
