Photography Noob, comments welcome.
Alright, I've had this camera for about 4 days now, so please be gentle. This is basically my first attempt at photography. Also please note, the first 5 pics were taken with my old HP Photosmart 435 POS.
I work the graveyard shift at a hotel, so 90% of my picture taking is done between 11 pm and 7 am. Anyways, here we go...
Taking a pic of the clouds and accidentally got my car in the pic, I think it turned out pretty cool. I'm definately gonna try to get some sky reflection pics on purpose now, lol.
Just some random shots of the sky.
A storm coming in while I was working, these were probably at about 4:30 am
Work at about 5 am.
The view from work at 6:30 am, Unfortunately it wasn't a very nice day today so I'll get some better ones soon.
Sorry there are so many. I've been into photography for maybe 2 weeks or so now, lol. I welcome any and all advice. Don't feel bad about giving negative comments, as long as it is constructive criticism.

The sky in numbers 1-5 are awesomee and you got some great color out of them...I am duly impressed with the tones.
6 and 7 really don't do it for me though
8 is a very good shot and I could see it being on a tourism brochure....it does need to be a bit sharper though but a very good shot.
9 I like but I don't at the same time....I haven't figured out what it is but it feels like it is lacking something, just can't put my finger on it really.
10 is a bit heavy on the unused space though overall it is a nice shot, just needs something to draw the eye to a focal point.
11 I like the empty dock and the view down the length of it....it has a dramatic effect to it.
12 This is another one of those brochure type shots and is a great shot.
so overall they are great shots...a couple things to note though.
When taking shots where the sky is the main focus it is best to have something else in the shot to either create a contrast or something to hold the interest, sillouhettes are good for this, an off centered item of some interest...use your imagination for this really because anything can be used.
Get rid of powerlines and telephone poles....just don't take the pic if they are in the viewfinder or you can crop them out. If you are really good at PS you can clone them out but its easy to mess up a good shot through a quick mistake in the process.
Hope this helps some but you do have a good eye for someone just starting off. You see colors well and can capture them very vividly which is not always easy for many. Work on the sharpness of the images which may be in the resizing so after you resize always run one shot with the sharpen tool which cleans up any dull edging.

I am dissapointed with 6 and 7 as well. The sky really looked SO cool IRL but I just couldn't capture it. I cropped a lot of stuff out of the picture to just show the cool part but I guess from where I was I just couldn't get the right shot.
8 I am very happy with, probably one of my best pics. 9-12 In all honesty weren't really taken to be good pictures so much as to show the awsome view from where I work. 12 Was actually ok but it would be better on a niec sunny day, and if all the tables were in a nice line like they are supposed to be, but thats my job so shhhhhhh.
Regarding all the pics with powerlines.....I have yet to go out with the intent of taking pictures. 1, 3, and 4 were all taken from a local pizza place where my friends and I often hang out.
Hehe, don't mean to get defensive, I asked for criticism, just thought I should redeem myself, lol. I went to a local mountain/park the other day that overlooks the city to take some pics of the view and my friend's car. I should have them all processed and ready for display tomorrow if I get around to it so stay tuned, lol.
Thanks for all the positive things too btw, means a lot coming from you.
