Tig (GTAW) = Gas Tungsten Arc Welding
Mig (GMAW) = Gas Metal Arc Welding
TIG uses a tungsten (an inert gas, doesn't react with atmospheric gases) electrode to conduct electric current
to the arc, creating a very precise and local heat zone. MIG uses a consumable wire to provide the welding arc.

dalight77: are there any fitment differences between the D16Z6 and D16Y8? I have the Y8, meaning an extra sensor if I'm not mistaken. Are there different models, or is one generic? Thanks in advance.
