FS - 1990 Civic Hatch
Testing the waters to see if there is any interest at all.
1990 Civic STD hatch, 4-speed manual. 141,000 miles on the body. Koni 4-way adjustable shocks, new in November of 2001, Older Eibach Sportlines (approx. 2" drop), front and rear strut tower brace (generic aluminum, work great), rear lower subframe brace (same thing), aluminum short shifter, 14" steelies with 195/65/14 tires (came with 13" steelies), about 25,000 on them. It also has a '90 Si cluster, so it has a working tach on it, and has white faced indiglo's (yeah, yeah, ricey, but they look good and work great).
Engine is the stock D15 block, but it got a 2000 DX head, '89 Si intake manifold, throttle body, injectors, ECU, etc. (MPFI head swap) done in November of 2001 at 121,000 miles. It has an AEM short ram (Si model), and an Airmass ceramic coated header (amazingly, the ceramic isn't peeling at all). The engine is not running right, and started to crap out on me recently. I replaced the injectors with newer Si injectors from a '91, and just changed the plugs, and double checked all the MPFI wiring, but it still isn't running right and I can't figure it out …….. It ran fine for the last 20,000 so I don't know what is up. Might need a newer engine (D16). You can get an Si D16 with tranny for around $350-$500 and swap it in since the car is basically already an Si with the mods. I also have a '90 Si fuel pump, but haven't put it in. It would go with the car sale. AC isn't working right. Charged it last year, worked fine for two weeks, then hasn't worked since.
Body is good, hood is faded from sunlight and heat, but the car has little to no rust. It will need a new windshield to pass inspection as it got a rock crack in it a few months ago that has grown quite a bit in the past months on the passenger side. Has a few door dings, but they are minor, and the body is in great shape otherwise.
The car is all set up for a motor swap (I actually had a B16 and everything to swap it in, but I sold it to pay down my student loans …. ugh). The suspension kicks ass, and it would make a good auto-x car. Or do the B16 or B18 swap and make it into a total sleeper.
I'm not sure what it would be worth to anyone, but I have a number in mind. Let me know if you are interested, and e-mail me a price. The car is located in the Baltimore area, MD. rcarter@bigwaha.com thanks!
