FedEx or UPS should beable to ship a tranny just fine. You'll need to build a little stand/crate for it and make sure it's strapped down real good. It'll most likely be considered freight service since it's pretty heavy.

^ what he said. Get a pallet or something and some ratchet straps or something, or stop in and ask how they want you to prepare it. Freight service will do it.

OR, and this is a biiiiiiiiiiig OR.. Ill be in Florida August 25th. Its possible I could rent a uhaul thingy and trailer that down with me and depending where you are haul it home myself. Where abouts are you?

$180-$220. Im gonna see how much it would cost to rent a uhaul trailer after work today. I think I might just drive to Florida depending if we can meet or something. Ill be going to Daytona Beach, Google Earth says we would be an hour apart (~80miles). Care to work something out?

If I drive Ill save money on airfare and shipping, so that seems like the better way to go..

Can you take a few pics of the condition of the tranny for me?

Thanks!

DHL will be the cheapest. I've shipped both manual and auto trannies for BMW's using them and a manual one was about $70, auto was about $100.

Just buy a plastic storage container from Walmart, pack it up with a lot of styrofoam in case they drop it. Tape the hell out of the container.

Honda trannies are smaller and alittle lighter, so it may be cheaper.

Even cheaper if you set up an online account. Plus they only charge $3.00 to pick it up for you.

We're gonna have to ship it, I can no longer drive down as per my new job. Id have to take 3 days off and at the time I was working elsewhere where I'd only have to have taken one day..
