Default Alpine Type-R SWR-1041D subwoofer

Used for less than 3 month. Looks and performs in perfect condition.

Price: $100 w/free shipping (this thing is HEAVY)

DETAILS:
-------------
Go ahead — crank up that volume knob because Alpine's top-of-the-line 10" subwoofer can definitely take it! The precision-crafted SWR-1041D 10" dual 4-ohm voice coil Type-R sub handles lots of bass power, and still provides the accuracy and crystal-clear sound you expect from Alpine.

The motor structure and double-stacked magnets focus magnetic energy within the vented pole piece for awesome power handling. The pulp cone has been reinforced with Kevlar® (the material used in bulletproof vests) for extra rigidity. A 1" Santoprene rubber surround aids in cone travel while guarding against decay that can mar speaker output. An extended spider landing area provides extra excursion for fuller bass.

The dual 4-ohm, 2" voice coils are big enough to handle up to 1,000 watts of peak power and provide system wiring flexibility. The tinsel leads are woven into the dual progressive Nomex spiders so you don't have to worry about them splitting apart. With this design, you'll get nearly 3" of cone excursion for maximum output. An aluminum diecast frame provides a secure, non-resonant housing.

The SWR-1041D is designed for use in sealed or ported enclosures.

Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for lower impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible. Most car amplifiers are stable down to 2 ohms in standard mode, or 4 ohms in bridged operation.

Why exactly are you getting rid of it? Also, I'm in Illinois. Let me check a few things, but I'm interested alright.

i bought it initially for my civic. i recently sold my civic and took off all aftermarket parts before selling it (stereo, floor mats, light bulbs, etc). i bought a new accord and there is no way to hook up an aftermarket stereo. well, at least not in a way that would look nice. since i can't hook up an aftermarket stereo, i will have to sell all my stereo equipment as much as i would love to keep them. i am also selling the amp i used to power this sub if you are interested also.
