and how old is that mag?

 

Hopefully its pretty recent, it makes mention of the RX-8. The car looks great - if they can come up with a prototype at the Tokyo Auto Show later this year that looks this good I'll have to start saving up my pennies! I doubt anyone could get ahold of the actual article and translate it???

Looks like an RX-8 and 6 mated, which is not neccessarily a bad thing.

 

Yeah, the new look from the 6 seems it will spread across the Mazda line-up, not a bad thing indeed. The upcoming 3 takes a lot of the same cues as its bigger brother as well. Sounds like theres alot of hot cars going to be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Show. Now I'm just curious about the engine. I assume its probably going to be larger and more powerful than the one found in the RX-8.

 

so, is there going to be an RX-7 and an RX-8 now? i thought the RX-8 was the replacement... like there used to be an RX-3 a long time ago, etc...

 

The RX-8 was always regarded as a seperate line and not a replacement for the RX-7. However, the new RX-7 is contingent on a successful launch of the RX-8 - which appears to be at least a semi-safe bet.

 

i thought they were gonna wait on sales of the rx8 before they decided on a rx7.... :dunno:

 

so what is their point for having two RX models at the same time? is one of them going to be a lot more powerful, more expensive, or have more features? it'd be cool if they limited one to be an enthusiast-only type of car...
