lets get the facts straight. the root cause has been found and BMW is proactively replacing the defective parts (on cars that are affected) before the engine blows up.

that very possible but the engine problem has not slowed the M3 sales both the M3 coupe and the convertible version.
I put the E46 M3 SMG (used) on a list of cars I may pick up in the future. Say 3-4 years from now. If the engine hasn't blow up in the time, then I have nothing to worry about.

The C32 sucks.

yeah a test drive might change my mind but unless I needed more space (wagon version) the C32 will satisfy my only complain with the C320. needs more power/better (faster) tranny/stiffer suspension.

I'll bet Audi doesn't miss the biturbo S4. The VW/Audi tuners figured out ways to chip them that was undetectable to the dealer. Owners would run a chip for more boost, break something in the motor, and get it fixed under warranty.

S4 for me.. at first i wasn't to keen about putting the v8 in the next s4 when it was announced i thought there would be a weight issue. But after hearing that the v8 is doesn't change the weight, i thought it was a step forward. I would love to see someone swap a rs6 engine in a s4. My dad has a s8 so my opinion is a bit biased after driving his car...
