2004 Maxima

As much as I'm not too happy about the Accord sedan's rear either, this new Maxima's rear end looks much worse. Too wide, too large, too rounded. It looks like, literally, an ass. The whole car looks bloated.
I bet if you change the roof rails to a dark grey, it'll be a dead ringer for a Saturn. I'm still waiting for engine and chasis specs and pictures of the interior. I hoping those don't disappoint.

UH the Maxima needs to be lowered a little. Sideskirts need to be more catchy. Where is the spoiler?? Funders are UNEVEN, more wheel gap in the front than back (I hate that).
I have had a ****ty day, somebody tried to steal the wheels of my car.

All the Nissan RWD and AWD cars of late (Silvia/180SX, Z32 300ZX, R32/R33/R34) all had the multilink rear suspension. This is a similar setup with no shared parts.
The current Maxima that came out in 2000 and the generation directly preceding it have a "multlink beam" rear suspension which is essentially a torsion bar.

So yeah back to the Maxima....
It sucks. Big time. It's clear to me that the Altima V6 has taken over the spot in the lineup of the current Maxima. I don't know who is going to buy the new one, there's not a ton of people out there who want an ugly full-size front wheel drive Japanese car.
