Default 2004 Maxima

A pic has been posted on www.freshalloy.com (same pic as below). Looks nice but it resembles a bigger Altima. I wonder what the HP # will be on the production model. They said 255+ BHP.

Second pic new as of 12/21 -98

Hey, I kinda like it. It looks a bit like a bigger Altima.
According to freshalloy, it will get AWD too, damn, that's nice. I wonder how much will the new Maxima cost ??

That is one weird looking car. There are too many odd elements that don't seem like the should be on the same car together. Like they weren't even designed by the same person or at the same time.

Plus, the Altima is already pretty large so I imagine the Maxima will be even larger. It's weird how automakers are bringing out true full-size cars again.

My first reaction was OMG, Saturn and Nissan are trading stylists! As much as the Saturn ION looks like the last gen Sentras, that C-Pillar of that Maxima looks like the Saturn ION I just test drove last week. :ugh:

That rear end treatment looks domestic. I can't get a grasp on what it resembles, but it looks very familiar.

The 6spd/AWD is going to be very interesting.

I was thinking Saturn Ion as well. Maybe GM fired the designers and then Nissan hired them.

As for the rear end treatment, I'm going to read your mind.

You're thinking of..........................................
Oldsmobile Aurora.

No way, the Olds Aurora actually looks good. h: That rear end on the Maxima is hideous. I was thinking more along the lines of a Ford product it looks like.

I like the side lines...but the rear quarter windows and back end (I'm thinking Chrysler Crossfire, actually) are very weird. At least it's unique.

Man I thought that the Saturn ION was an altima at first!

I dont like it. The front end might be nice. I also dont like the rear of the altima.

255hp+, duh. They wont give it less hp...... come on now......

Still, 6 speed and AWD should be pretty nice.

Let's see what the price will be. Cuz with the G35 out there, a Maxima doesnt seem as attractive.
