I'm just messin' with you man... all the new guys hafta' be given a tough time.
Anyway, I thought it was hinted that "Honda was developing a hybrid, it was targeted for performance, and it could be an Acura" or something along the lines of that?

Actually another website posted another article that said the first one was false. The guy who interviewed the Toyota rep took the words out of context. I'm not sure if Toyota issued a press release, but its not true. Maybe its an internal goal or something, but its very unlikely.

Hmm...hopefully it'll look better in person. Say, the IS/ES will get the new 3.3 litre engines in 04 right? Just wondering cuz I know the IS 430 is also in development, but isn't the new IS due in 05?

Anybody have any proof the IS430 will actually happen?

the above pics are taken from acuradmdx.org
The mdx may not look adventurous, but it does loook classy and contemporary...also w/ 260hp now and a new 5speed tranny and new drive by wire mechanism (the nsx is the only other acura to have this), this car MOOOOVESS for an suv...In C&D 1/03, the mdx did 0-60 in 7.8 sec. which is as quick or quicker than the 98-02 gen6 v6 accord ....not bad for an suv if u ask me

It will totally ruin the driving dynamics of that car. One of the IS' main strongpoints was that it had great handling. So they plan to substitute handling for power now huh? It'd be much smarter of them to turbo the car.

It is competing in probably the 3rd most competitive market (I'd say mid size sedans and entry level luxo cars have more competitive entries), and ranked 3rd n C&D's comparo, placing behind two brand new models and ahead of several other new models. Keep in mind the MDX is 3 years old...that is impressive.
