I don't think it came short at all. Consider the TL-S is the oldest model of the group and the packed the best value for your money costing the least to the others with similarly equipped options.

Not a bad showing for a car that's vintage is from 1999 (although admittedly the 3-series is a 1999 design too). Not to mention it's the only front driver of the pack, not bad.

Doh! I should have looked closer, I didn't realize it was the CVT. CVT only comes in FWD. Sorry about that.

Scores (Acura, Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Benz, VW)
Amenities: 9, 6, 7, 8, 6, 6

Someone please tell me what Acura comes with the BMW doesn't?. Not trying to nitpick here but how did BMW get a 7 for amenities?

I guess they couldn't make BMW look perfect.

I have a few questions about these result, if someone can explain, it'll be great.
Scores (Acura, Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Benz, VW)
Brakes: 8, 8, 10, 7, 9, 7
In one of the past comparison between the 330i, G35, and CTS, the G35 brakes about 10 ft. shorter than the 330i. If that's the case, how can BMW get a 10 in braking and G35 a 7.

Handling: 9, 8, 10, 8, 7, 7
As Kazi mentioned above, R&T tend to concentrate more in performance and their comparison show that the G35 out handle the TL-S, then how come the TL-S get higher handling score here?

Amenities: 9, 6, 7, 8, 6, 6
I don't know much about the Amenities of the other cars but my girlfriend has a C240 and there's so many little safty things in that car that I would never thought about, yet the C320 get a 6 in Amenities? Little things such as emergency manual override for the sun roof so that if in an emergency where you can't get out and have no power, you can roll the sun roof open and craw out. That's some of the little things that I'm talking about.

Value: 9, 9, 9, 8, 6, 6
How can a BMW that cost at least 5k-6k more than both similarly equiped TL-S and the G35 get a 9 which is about the same as the G35?

Because of these point, I don't quite agree with the result. Can someone shed light on why the result turn out the way it did? The points that I didn't cover are either subjective or all cars score similar.

I think if you priced them out at $35k, you get more amenities with the TL and G35 than the others.

One thing I noticed, I'm not sure if this is true, but the 330i only comes with a standard single CD player. Add the Navi and it deletes the CD player and adds a cassette player instead. I'm confused on this one.
