Honda probably would allow the installation of aftermarket 6x9s in the back without the use of a hacksaw :D But I dont see how we will be able to add a headunit to that console... :oh:

And back at the interior topic... from the pictures the Accord had a lot of influence from the germans. Thank goodness that passat raised the bar for the interior and thank Nissan for raising the bar for HP.

Otherwise I know for sure it wouldve been another ho hum accord
with a decent but boring interior and around 215 - 225 hp V6 level.

I love my 6th gen accord, and the way it looks with a spoiler on it, but i didn't like it that much when I first saw it and it had no spoiler on it.

anyone up to it?

I absolutely agree, vasu. My old 99 San Marino Red Coupe got picked over an Alero, but just because the Honda dealer had one on the lot with a spoiler, so I added that on damn quick. It's amazing how the 6th gen coupes are really bland w/o a spoiler but they have absolutely beautiful lines with one. I think it's because the decklid is higher at the glass that it is at the rear, so the spoiler makes up for that. Almost like the car was BUILT for a spoiler. I've never understood why Honda doesn't show the car with a spoiler in ads, brochures, and the such. 60% of all Accord Coupes I see (and there's ALOT of them, 20 times more than Solaras) have spoiler, which is amazing considering it's an expensive option.

dude not to rain on your parade.. but that's not the greatest
looking interior even if it's BMWs'

Agreed! I've always liked the 3-series, but it always bugged me how the speedo cluster housing was so bulbous. (sp?) It makes it nice to have the speedo right in your line of view, but it looks odd. Anyone else notice this? Also, the ergonomics aren't nearly as good as some cars costing half as much (ie. the window controls on the center console) and don't get me started on the tacky orangish red lighting. JUST MY OPINION.
And for anyone who thinks I don't know anything about BMW's, I've owned a 1997 528i.

No interiors can match up to Audi's A4, S4, or A6 line.

Well, so far we've only seen the upper trim interiors.

It's possible that Honda might do this the same way they did the RSX. Lower level trims will have a standard size head unit that isn't flush with the console with a cubby underneath it.

I think itll be the same. But that cubby underneath is supposed to house a mp3/wma player from Honda, so maybe theres a din size space down there.

I always like how Honda's have been double-din, but the inetrior lines do look a lot better if they are more flush w/o the din.

First of all, I love BMW interiors, but I would have to say that I prefer the new Accord's to that BMW's.

Maybe the poor Accord shouldnt have to compete with much more expensive German cars.
