Yes that is the exact story I got too. Look, at any time if a seller cancels their auction and does the transactions outside, that means its not under Ebay's policy. The only way if it's under Ebay is if you won the bid in the seller's auction. Besides Ebay can only refudn your money up to $250 I think. That is way less than the money that your about to pay up.

Listen up. I wouldn't do it either. sounds too good to be true and i also believe Ebay frowns upon transactions outside of Ebay.

Be careful and I hope you don't get burned. Besides if someone does that kind of selling and all sorts of transactions on Ebay, why wouldn't he have a camera. Poor excuse IMO.

 

Sure as hell sounds like a scam to me.

Tell him you're perfectly willing to buy it from him, but only through paypal. If he won't do it through paypal then walk away.

 

so if i go through paypal and somehow get scammed, then they will reimburse me for the full amount and go after him? or what
