if your thermo is stuck open, or if it opens at a really low temperature - either the car will never warm up to proper temperature (possible if your radiator is decent enough to keep it that cool) or the car will just run cooler than it normally did.
You should replace the thermo if indeed it is broken, since a healthy motor needs to operate at a certian temperature in order for clean combustion and proper smog equipment operating temperaturs.

I'm having overheating issues as well, on a b16 with intake, i've replaced the thermastat, and the gasket that goes around it, and i've tried bleading the air out a couple of times...my question is...how much "bubbles" is to much? last night i went from a cold engine to a running temp engine, with the bleader valve open and got a lot of bubbles at first, and then very few...shouldn't there be NO bubbles? thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think it is a bubble problem. I've done a few radiator installs on the G3 Integra and haven't had a problem with air in the cooling system. And no, there isn't an air bleeder valve on that engine. The only air that can get stuck is in the top radiator hose but that can be fixed by pushing the upper radiator hose down a little so the air can escape through the top of the radiator.
The Koyo all-aluminum is a direct fit right? You didn't need to use a new, slim fan I think. I wish I had installed one of those before so I could help you but I've only had the opportunity to work with el cheapo plastic OE style radiators.

actually, they SAY koyo is direct fit, but i had to take off my header heatsheild for the fans to fit, and it just barley makes it in. another thing is that my AC line was rubbing agaist the fan and now theres a hole in it =/.

may have fixed mine...
My B16 does have a bleader, and i think that may have been part of the problem. I replaced the thermastat, and o-ring that goes around it...the o-ring that was in there doesn't seem to have been the right one...wasn't shaped the same, and it was all blown out. i replaced that and decided not to do the blead thing yet...filled up the cooling system again and drove it to work this morning, got hot on the way there. So I talked to some guys about bleading it (I had brought tools to do it at lunch) guys at work (domestic guys...but still car guys :-) said to blead it, but be sure a) wait till it was fully warmed up, b) then turn on heater like you guys said, then c) hook up hose but only blead for a few seconds. then close back up and blead again, three or four times. I did this and then drove it around during lunch. seemed fine even in town with rapid driving and a few long waits at stop lights. Blead it again after work (same process...hope work doesn't get pissed about a puddle of coolant in the parking lot :-) and then i drove it hope like a bat out of hell...didnt rise a bit...so i'm thinking i had two problems....or maybe it was just the gasket, and replacing the therm let air in the system....

maybe u should think about REPLACING the coolant in your car. The radiator is different, so maybe you need new coolant. I'm sure when you (or whoever) replaced the radiator, there musta been some coolant replacement, but can't hurt to do it one more time. just to make sure. just drain the coolant thatz in there right now (im not sure how to do it on my teg, i havent dont it yet...) if you have a Haynes manual, should tell u how to do it, but if u dont, ask ur dad to help. haha. Doesnt take long, or cost that much, just know what ur doin, not that hard!

there is new coolent in it. i even flushed it ( filled it and drained it with distilled water) then on the last one i did 50/50 w/ anti freeze. by the way, why are you supposed to use distilled water?

distilled water is filtered of minerals and other chemicals/substances found in normal tap or drinking water.
