I'm working on a front speaker upgrade and thought I would share a few pics. I plan to add a small ring around the tweeter mount to cover some of the stock opening so that it looks a bit more flush with the door. Other than that, the Kenwood Excelon KFC-Xr6p produces far better sound than stock...of course.

How come you just didn't use the stock tweeter grille?

 

probably the same reason i didn't use the stock tweerter grill when i put my infinity's in: it doesnt fit. and to make it fit, you would have to cut off the part that attaches it.

 

hey u know that first picture with the tweeter in the door do all integs have that cause mine sure doesn't....

 

I believe only GSR's and Special Editions did.

 

...and later on GS models like mine.

 

Mine has it and it's a 99 LS.

 

mine did too, the only prob is KENWOOD SPEAKERS SOUND LIKE SHIT... the head units are good but not speakers
