It needs a lot of work. The negative photo is nice but don't over do it. Get some color in there also. Come up with an easy to use navigation menu. Don't use pic buttons when hypertext is more efficient and easy to use. Think about it this way. If the user has to perform more that 3 click to get anywhere they will leave. If they have to wait more than 30 seconds for a page to load, they will leave. Try not to put more than 20k of pics on a page. For example. If you want to have a gallary, use thumbnails and have the expand when clicked.
