Default Anyone have a 93 Teg w/B16 swap?

What does it run in the 1/4?

I'm thinking about getting one and doing this swap.

dont. you'll be disappointed by the lack of torque.

Go over to G2IC.com, lots of people over there have done it.

A lot of them don't care for it, either. The loss of torque is not worth the gain in horsepower. Just because it has VTEC does not make up for the fact that it is a smaller engine.

For a little more, you can put in a B20B/Z. You will love that.

Yeah, after posting this thread I did a little research and found that the B16 only has 111ft lbs. torque:wtf:

How much would the Ls/Vtec swap run me?

If you're gonna get a B16 swap, the only thing I recommend putting it in is a hatchback. Anything else will be slow as balls. I have a 90 GS and could probably take a stock Si (99-00). Even if you were to put that engine in a teg, get the cheaper and lighter weight 90-91. But that swap into an Integra is spending your money for your torque to be taken away.

gotcha

thanks for the informative post mang, I have been seeing that not too many folks are big on the B16.

A B18 isn't really an option cause hell, I can put a H22 in my Accord for damn near the same amount.

Looks like im back to square one:sad:

Stay with an LS, or even swap in a b20 shortblock. LSVTEC can be pricey to do it the right way...if you just bolt the head on and go, the motor won't last long revving to 8 grand.

So the LS motor is a decent platform to build upon? What kind of aftermarket support is there for that motor?

Is the LS a good candidate for teh N20?
