Difference between USDM ITR tranny and JDM ITR tranny?
I was wondering if there was any difference between the USDM ITR transmission and JDM ITR transmission? I bought mynew ITR tranny last week and installed it, and the guy I bought it from said that since its the JDM version, it comes with a different final drive gear, is this true? Im just wondering, plus I have never driven a type R before, so I wouldnt be able to tell any difference.... also, is there any special type of tranny fluid I should use since I now have LSD?

It does also have lower ratio 4th and 5th so that you aren't at 6K RPMs on the freeway.

Higher = shorter gears
Lower = taller gears
And, btw, that information is wrong, only the USDM S80 LSD (Type R trans) has those gear ratios. The Y80 and nonLSD S80 both have 4th and 5th ratios matching the JDM Spec R transmission.

Nope those numbers are right, I referenced them against a program I have that can calculte true speeds based on tire size, and gear ratios, and against http://www.bseries.net/html/specs/btrannyspecs.php
Also this site has the same gear ratios
http://www.allmotorhonda.com/techpag...anny_specs.htm
The ratios are the same as I posted up.
