Anybody with a B18c1 out there getting a slight whistling sound at around 75% throttle? My friend says that his itr and all integras do that. I don't believe him. It seems to be coming from the throttle body or something. Its not too loud, sounds almost like I'm boosting (which I'm not). If i mash it, it goes away, and if I give it less gas, it goes away. Any input would be greatly helpful guys.

 

Do you have an AEM CAI? That is a common feature of that intake, known as the AEM whistle. My AEM intake has it.

 

Mine does it to since I got an intake, my friends civic does it to(SOHC VTEC)

 

must be the intake.. its annoying

 

i got the same thing on my AEM short ram...GSR btw

 

I think it has something to do with the cone filter.

 

I don't get it. All I have is the stock GSR rubber tubing to an open Blitz filter, no box.

 

even the stock intake system whistles. you can hear it if you remove the resonator. its the way the tb and intake manifold are designed. no problem...you wont notice it after a while.

 

Niko, what AEM parts do you have on your engine?
