Default unbolting muffler?

i have a gsr, pretty much stock except for the K&N air filter, i was wondering if it would help if i unbolted the muffler? this would only be done at the track ( if it even helps).

thanks,

doubt it with stock piping. it'll just make you louder. :a:

undo the bolts from the header that connect to the CAT, that means pretty much straight pipe, no restrictions. i would only do it for the track.

Don't bother. You'll gain about 1/100 of a horsepower.

If you were desperate, running open header would be better. Just don't hang out in the car with the windows up or you'll die of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Yes, an aftermarket system will be much better.

Don't bother with ITR stuff. Stick with the aftermarket parts, ITR parts are a compromise between street and race.
