im not sure the exact year i will be getting and the guys i emailed at hmotorsonline said its difficult to tell what year the motor is ... anyways on the hondata site u posted it says that the P72 is a suitable ECU... however it says on the USDM b18c ... will it still work on a JDM? (I plan to get a JDM b18c1)

obd1 is 94-95 for the b18c1. the swap isnt all that hard. you will need a conversion harness and compatible obd1 ecu.

ok how much do each of those cost?

how does the swap work... does it just reprogram my ecu to be OBD 1?

what are the differences between OBD 1 and OBD 2?.. will i be losing anything useful?

i just noticed this engine on hmotors online..

B16A 88-91 (SiR I) Complete Change Over
160Hp 111Trq 10.2 Compression (JDM)
$ 1499.00 Plus shipping and handling.

i love the price because i can get a turbo way sooner
just wondering if i can put this into my 98 civic cx?
if not.. im probably going with b18c

with that you'd have to convert to a cable clutch and its obd0. so you'd have to go with one of hondata's stage 2/3/4
