Im jw, how much did everyone pay to get their lowering springs and shocks, or just springs for that matter, installed?

do it yourself, its about 4-5 hours. You can rent a spring compressor from Pep boys, and go to a local garage to have the rear LCA bolts loosened first. Otherwise I've heard its $80-$100

$80-$100? You're kidding me? I've heard as high as $400.

it really depends on the shop and how long they think it will take. Should take them 2-3 hours at a shop. Basic labor rate in NY is $65 an hour so it would be $130-$195

I just got some Skunk2 coilovers installed 2 days ago. Cost me $100 at Dynamic Autosports in Lake Forest, CA (great shop).

Note that this is just coilover springs, not shocks as well.

I did the fronts myself. Had trouble with the rears. The muffler shop replaced a broken LCA bolt and did the rear springs for $100 total.

sometimes its cheaper if you get it installed at the shop you actually bought the springs from.

but my friend paid $300 installed for a set of eibach sportlines. :dunno:

I think shops usually charge like $80 or something when you buy it there but its not that hard. I say do it yourself because its worth the journey -All you need is a jack, a ratchet set and $50 to rent the compressor (which you'll get back).
Alls I gotta say is be the f_ck carefull and rap the spring with a towel when you unscrew the the hat from the pisten rod.
here. . .
