Yeah, I think they are. There are restrictions concerning use ( it must be foggy), aiming ( like front fogs are) and wiring ( they can't be wired to come on with brakelights).

stock 94-97. I dont like all red. It looks like you're stopping when you have the hazards on.

Stock 98+ are the best...
As for the rear foglight, I believe that is a European law that all cars must have them. They are legal in the US but cars are not mandated by law to have them. There has been such a demand for the rear foglights on the Mini Cooper they are now coming standard and current owners can buy a retrofit.

Yes, it is law overseas to have a rear foglight...think about going 100+ on the Autobahn on foggy night :doh: u wanna know whats ahead of you going slow...
