The stock shocks are more prone to blowing (versus the springs sagging). You can accelerate the process by going to Costco and filling the rear hatch with flats of soda cans. The ungodly scraping sounds coming from the rear should do more than enough to convince your wife that you'll need custom 400/550lb. Eibach springs and revalved Koni's to prevent the problem from ever occurring again.

I'm married. I just bought them...after I paid for her plane to Florida
