Must go faster
Hey all I just need some advice. As of now I have a 90 teg with GSR with DC sports header, AEM Short ram, Full exhuast and other bolt ons. Now heres the thing I have raced and lost to a turbo Jetta with the basic stuff on it. Well I want to beat him and all other cars out there.
I don't know if I should go all motor or Turbo, cause I want to pull on Turbo cars like Eclipse's, 240s (with SR20DET) Jetta 1.8, Nissan 300zx and maybe some day a twin turbo Supra.
Now which way is the best for me to go to get the most HP for my buck????
I am sure you may think this is an unrealistic idea but with the right Ideas I hope to do it anyway thanks and let me know

If you wanna be able to beat a TT supra you better buy another car. Mabye a Z28 or mustang 5.0. I guess if you really wanted to you could beat a TT supra, but you'd have spent so much money you could have just bought a damn TT supra.

Best bang-for-the-buck? Nitrous. However, you won't be pulling on any Supras with just a bottle.
Also remember that you can only put so much power down to the front-wheels before having major traction issues on the street. I would sell all those bolt-ons and save up for a turbo. You can also do some mild weight reduction while keeping the car fairly tolerable for street driving.
Oh, and if you really want to beat all those cars out there I suggest you find a good lawyer. Penalties for street racing these days are pretty harsh.

ps. Keep in mind that all the cars you listed (with the exception of the Jetta) will still be faster than you provided they have the same budget for aftermarket performance mods.

Remember, as Shingo said, that those other guys probably have money to spend on their cars just like you. And with a turbo car it's a bit easier to get some major hp...all-motor is cool but not if you're planning on racing modified turbocharged cars like Supras or even GST's for that matter. Save for some forced induction or a new car.

You can beat the TT, if you had a rocket! But really, you could beat most of those cars you listed if you spend your money wisley. Build a budget turbo, ill tell you the way i did, and now i make 350hp AT THE WHEELS with less than 2k for the turbo alone. Go to a junk yard or call up some ford shops and look for a T3 turbo from an SVO mustang or firebird, they are quick spooling turbos. Buy a new exhaust IRON manifold, no tubular, youll have to weld that thing everyday. Then beef up your fuel delivery and ignition, i chose MSD for all of it. I still use my stock internals, even the cams. But to make most power, beef up internals if you have the cash and car down time, if not, keep boost around 10psi. Buy new air/fuel controller, boost controller, and turbo timer, prices vary. If you buy all the new stuff from the same place, more than likley the guy will give you a deal. Thats pretty much how i did it, now i run 12.7's at 134mph off the bottle on stock internals.
