i got an rs akimoto and it more then does the job with my k&n air filter

V2 Intake
I put one on my 00 GS-R about three weeks ago and I think that it has made a big difference. The biggest increase is in the higher RPM range between VTEC engagement and Redline. With the stock air box the car seemed choked off at high RPM's. I changed from stock so the difference was dramatic, my friend has an 01 GS-R and he had an AEM CAI before he also says that he can feel a difference.

It is not just a heat shield either. Inside of the large pipe there is a pipe that is the diameter of the throttle body and AEM says that by adjusting the length of this "pipe within the pipe" they can effect where the performance increases are within the RPM band. If it were a heat shield the internal pipe would run down to the filter.:naughty:
