Type R header
Is it true that JDM Type R header only come in 4-1?
I just had a JDM Type R motor swap done and a 4-2-1 header came w/ it. I was later told by another person that the header I received was a CTR header. Could this be true?
Also, is 4-1 made for high gains while 4-2-1 is made for low gains?

That's a pretty general question. It really depends on WHICH 4-2-1, honestly. The TODA 4-2-1 makes power EVERYWHERE, as do many others.
I don't know enough about the CTR header to tell you either way, but the JDM ITR is a 4-1 w/ a 2.5" collector.

A 4-2-1 header will give more gains in the mid range and the 4-1 will give more gains in the top of the RPM range.
I am not sure if there was a JDM 4-2-1 ITR header or if the CTR header was 4-2-1. If the CTR header was 4-2-1 then I would make sure the engine you got wasa 1.8L and not the CTR 1.6L...and don't just look at the tranny stamp because they coulda swapped the tranny.
