Gsr Help!!!!
I have a 94 GSR and i am having a problem with my V-Tech becuse when i get up to about 5400rpm i dont have the V-Tech kick in. I did check the solenoid and it does have continuity and seems to be in good shape. I was thinkin it was the clutch becuase i have no power thoughout the powerband and my brothers LS smokes me every time. What might it be? There are no CEL codes or nothing. HELP!!!!

I checked all my fluids and they seem to be fine. Okay this is what is going on i take off and around 3500rpm i have no more power you know how it suposed to pick up it will not go any harder than what it is going now. Its like there is no power at the higher RPMs.

it may not be vtec itself, vtec engages at 4400 rms not 5400 and is yur portable phone charged, thats the Vtech spelled with the "H"...check yur timing, when my timing was off it didnt do dick above 4 grand...might to be far advanced...check that out
or its the reason it cost u 1000$?

:ghey:
What are you talking about if your not going to help how about not replying to anyones posts. But thanks anyway.
I checked for any lose wires anything unusual or anything like that but nothing. How do I check my timing to see if it is to advanced? Could it be my tranny? Oh and another thing im noticing is that the idle is kinda high for a long ass time then it settles. What might that be?

Could it be your CAI? I've never heard of that company before, and if your filter sucks/CAI sucks, you could be strangling your engine at high RPMs?
If you can't figure it out by yourself, it really doesn't hurt to take it into a mechanic and have them do it right. A competent mechanic (A professional, not a friend that claims to know a lot about cars) will be able to solve your problem. Just be prepared to spend some money... those guys need to put food on the table too
