Well, I would have to agree with Rayo here. True it is not there fault he has a JDM engine (its not anyone's "fault"), but if you dont have a part dont sell something HOPING that it will work for the customer. Just like you need the right tool for the right job (i guess that's why Autozone hired that guy, lol), you need the right PART as well. Not something kinda similar! At least they could have pointed him in the right direction instead of making him drive around all the time! And DAMN, the man is just venting some, I am sure he got the point by the first few people who posted.

It sounds like you got a dud counter man.
I use to work in an old school parts shop... The guys I worked with knew everything and taught me everything… about American cars that is. Basically everything had to be memorized other wise you were face first in catalogs with a line of customers out the door. See, there were no computers.
When I was working at that parts store I could find you anything for anything; rather it be a ball joint for a 58 ford, a Piston Sleeve insert for a Caterpillar Diesel or 8 pot calipers for a 2000 Hennessey Viper. If it existed, we could get it for you, but really only because we had catalog skills. That and mad connections across the country.
Now I know that being able to use a catalog sounds stupid so try this; walk into your local AutoZone and try asking for a lawn mower sparkplug… They’ll look at you like your retarded or something and then tell you to go to Home Depot. Oh and make it easy on them… Bring in the old one… If it’s a brand they don’t carry they’ll try crossing it for you… but wait… what’s this… “I’m sorry, it doesn’t cross in the computer… you should try Home Depot buddy”
I say next time you find yourself face to face with a parts store puppet who can’t seem to help you very much, (and you have done all you can to make it easy on them like part numbers to cross and what not) play with him a little… Try asking him for a water pump for a ‘83’ Vette or a thermostat for your air cooled bug.

First of all you can't expect people at Autozone to know what parts fit on JDM motors, secondly you're stupid for not bringing the stock cap and rotor with you.
